OVERVIEW
WELLNESS + CREATIVITY + CULTURE IN IRELAND
Come with us to Ireland, where ancient landscapes, wild Atlantic coastlines, stone villages, rolling green hills, and centuries of stories create the perfect setting to slow down, look more closely, and see the world a little differently.
This is a retreat for curious travelers—a week that brings together yoga, creativity, culture, nature, and the simple pleasure of being somewhere completely new.
Each morning begins with yoga and meditation with EPM founder Erin Lewis, creating space to ground, breathe, and prepare for the day ahead. From there, our days unfold through the landscapes and stories of Ireland, with visits, cultural experiences, walks, beautiful meals, and plenty of time to simply take it all in.
Alongside our wellness practices, collaborator Julian Hyzler will lead our travel journal workshops, inviting us to capture the journey through drawing, writing, collage, observation, and creative exploration. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist. In fact, you don’t need any artistic experience at all.
The journal becomes a way of paying attention.
A castle becomes more than a photograph. A landscape becomes a collection of colors and textures. A conversation becomes a story. A morning walk becomes something you can bring home with you.
Yoga and creativity become two different ways of arriving in the present moment—one through the body, the other through the imagination. Together, they encourage us to slow down enough to notice the layers of beauty, history, and character that make Ireland so captivating.
And there is no pressure to participate in everything. You might spend the morning practicing yoga and the afternoon exploring a village. You might fill pages of your journal, or simply sit and look. You might be drawn to the creative workshops, the cultural experiences, the landscapes—or simply the opportunity to rest and let someone else take care of the details.
Throughout the week, we’ll immerse ourselves in Ireland’s history and natural beauty, collecting moments, stories, images, and impressions along the way. By the time we leave, you’ll have more than memories—you’ll have a personal travel journal filled with the experience of being here.
Come curious. Come open-minded. Come ready to see, make, wander, and wonder.
Ireland has a way of making you look a little closer. This retreat is an invitation to do just that.
*NO PREVIOUS ART OR YOGA BACKGROUND REQUIRED. All levels are welcome, and participation is voluntary. Projects and classes will be offered as a completely exploratory, unintimidating and personal experience.
ACCOMMODATION
A HIDEAWAY IN THE IRISH COUNTRYSIDE
For the week, we’ll call Deerstone Eco Hideaway home—a beautiful off-grid sanctuary tucked into the Irish countryside, surrounded by trees, open skies, and the quiet rhythms of nature.
Deerstone is the kind of place that encourages you to exhale. Handcrafted eco-luxury lodges sit within the landscape, creating a feeling that is both beautifully designed and wonderfully unspoiled. There’s no need to rush here. Days unfold slowly, with forest trails to wander, peaceful spaces to gather, and plenty of corners to curl up with a book, sketch, write, or simply be.
It’s also the perfect setting for the creative side of our retreat. Away from the noise and distractions of everyday life, there is space to notice things again—the changing light through the trees, the sound of birds, the texture of the landscape, the weather moving across the sky. The environment itself becomes part of the creative process.
Our days will be anchored by nourishing meals, time outdoors, yoga and meditation, creative workshops, and evenings spent together in the warmth of our retreat home. There will be opportunities to connect and plenty of permission to disappear for a while and enjoy your own space.
Deerstone isn’t simply somewhere to sleep between excursions. It is part of the experience—a place to disconnect from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with nature, creativity, and yourself.
Come for the wild beauty of Ireland. Stay for the quiet, the creativity, and the feeling of having nowhere else to be.
ACTIVITIES
WANDER. DISCOVER. BE INSPIRED.
Ireland rewards curiosity. Around every bend there seems to be another ancient ruin, windswept coastline, story-filled village, or landscape that makes you want to stop and take it in.
Throughout the retreat, we’ll explore some of the most beautiful and culturally rich corners of County Wicklow and beyond, balancing days of discovery with plenty of time to simply enjoy being here.
GLENDALOUGH & THE WICKLOW MOUNTAINS
Just moments from our home is one of Ireland’s most atmospheric landscapes: Glendalough, a beautiful valley tucked into the Wicklow Mountains.
Here, ancient monastic ruins sit between two tranquil lakes, surrounded by forests, mountains, and walking trails. Founded by Saint Kevin in the 6th century, Glendalough has drawn pilgrims and seekers for centuries—and it’s easy to understand why.
We’ll have time to wander the ruins, walk through the valley, and experience the stillness of this extraordinary place. Bring your journal, because this is the kind of landscape that begs to be remembered.
DUBLIN: STORIES, LITERATURE & CITY LIFE
We’ll spend a day in Dublin, exploring the Irish capital through its history, architecture, and extraordinary literary heritage.
A guided walking tour will take us through the city’s historic streets, uncovering stories of the writers, artists, characters, and events that have shaped Dublin’s identity. There will also be time to wander independently, find a cozy café, browse the shops, or simply soak up the energy of the city.
It’s a wonderful contrast to the quiet of the countryside.
THE GARDEN OF IRELAND
County Wicklow is known as the “Garden of Ireland,” and a day exploring its coastline and countryside gives us a chance to see exactly why.
We’ll visit a historic estate and its gardens before continuing toward the coast, where mountains meet the sea and the landscape opens dramatically toward the Irish Sea.
There will be time to explore a charming seaside town and stretch our legs on a coastal walk, taking in the fresh Atlantic air and expansive views.
TIME TO REST
Not every experience needs to involve a suitcase or a walking shoe.
Back at Deerstone, we’ll make space for deep relaxation, with time to enjoy spa treatments, saunas, hot tubs, gardens, and the peaceful natural surroundings of our home.
These quieter moments are an important part of the retreat—time to let the experiences of the day settle, turn inward, or simply do nothing at all.
And we’ll finish our week with a special dinner out in town: one final evening to gather around the table, share stories, raise a glass, and celebrate everything we’ve experienced together.
From ancient valleys to literary streets, wild coastline to quiet forest trails, this is Ireland experienced slowly—with time to wander, wonder, and take it all in.
CUISINE
THE TASTE OF IRELAND
Food is another way we’ll experience Ireland—through the farms, producers, traditions, and people who make this island’s cuisine so special.
We’ll begin with a welcome cocktail reception before settling into a week of cozy meals, beautiful dinners out, and relaxed gatherings around the table. At Deerstone, meals are thoughtfully prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on local Irish produce and the incredible quality of what grows and is made here.
Expect hearty, unfussy food that celebrates the landscape: fresh vegetables, beautiful breads, local cheeses, seasonal produce, and ingredients sourced from nearby farms and Irish producers whenever possible.
Breakfast and dinner are included daily, along with selected lunches throughout the retreat. On a few days, you’ll have free time to choose your own lunch or explore the local food scene—another opportunity to discover Ireland at your own pace.
Some of our favorite retreat moments often happen around the table: lingering over dinner after a day of exploring, sharing stories with people you’ve just met, or enjoying a glass of something delicious while the conversation carries on long after the plates have been cleared.
In keeping with the yogic tradition at Eat Pray Move, the majority of our retreat meals are vegetarian. This is part of our commitment to the lineage of our practice and to traveling as thoughtfully and lightly as possible.
We know that not everyone is vegetarian, and we simply ask that guests come with an open mind and enjoy experiencing food in a slightly different way while we’re together. When we dine independently, you’ll be free to choose from the menu according to your own preferences.
Special dietary requirements and allergies can always be shared with us in advance so that we can make sure you feel completely comfortable and well cared for.
Good food, good company, and plenty of time around the table—it’s all part of the journey.
WELLNESS + CREATIVITY
MOVE. NOTICE. CREATE.
This retreat is an invitation to slow down and pay attention—to your body, your surroundings, your senses, and your own creative voice. Each day, we’ll begin with yoga and mindfulness practices designed to ground you in the experience of being here. Classes are open to all levels and may include flowing Vinyasa, gentle movement, restorative practices, Yoga Nidra, guided meditation, or mindful walks through the Irish countryside.
With a small and intimate group, practices can be adapted to the people in the room. Whether you have been practicing yoga for years or are completely new to it, there is space to explore without pressure and at your own pace.
But wellness on this retreat extends far beyond the yoga mat.
Yoga is ultimately about connection—and that is at the heart of the entire experience. Connection with yourself, with other people, with nature, and with the culture around you. We’ll use travel itself as a mindfulness practice: noticing the changing weather, listening to the landscape, wandering through ancient places, sharing a meal, or simply taking a moment to stop and look.
CREATIVITY AS A WAY OF SEEING
Our creative work will be led through travel journaling, giving us another way to experience and remember the week.
You don’t need to be an artist. You don’t need to know how to draw. You don’t even need to think of yourself as “creative.”
Through a playful mix of writing, sketching, collecting, collage, observation, and other creative exercises, we’ll experiment with different ways of capturing what we see and feel. The goal isn’t to create a perfect travel journal—it’s to create something personal.
A leaf.
A color.
A line from a poem.
A conversation.
A sketch of a doorway.
A thought you had while walking along the coast.
Little pieces of the journey become memories you can hold onto.
Yoga helps us arrive in our bodies. Creativity helps us look more closely at the world. Together, they become a beautiful way to experience Ireland—not simply as somewhere we visit, but as something we are fully present for.
No previous yoga or creative experience is required. Everything is offered as an invitation to explore, play, and discover.
Come with an open mind. Come curious. And come ready to see what happens when you give yourself permission to slow down and create.* Participation in classes and activities is optional throughout the retreat. All levels welcome!

COME WITH AN OPEN HEART
This is not a retreat about checking things off a list.
It’s about giving yourself enough space to truly experience Ireland.
To wake to mist over the hills.
To walk through ancient forests and along wild coastlines.
To stand among stones and ruins that hold centuries of stories.
To wander quiet villages and lively streets.
To fill the pages of your journal with colors, words, sketches, and little pieces of the journey.
To move, breathe, create, and let your mind wander.
To share long meals and good conversation with people who were strangers just days before.
To sit by the fire while the rain moves across the landscape.
To pause. To notice. To wonder.
To let someone else take care of you for a few days.
And perhaps, somewhere between the green hills, the sea air, the stories, the laughter, and the quiet, to return home feeling a little more connected to yourself—and seeing the world with slightly different eyes.
Ireland has a way of reminding you to slow down, look closer, and find beauty in the unexpected.

Eat Pray Move is a beautifully crafted life experience. The choice of charming activities made for a perfectly well-rounded week. The leadership, Mindy, on the Amalfi Coast trip was dedicated to the individual's and group's comfort and enjoyment. She was astute, offering eye opening moments. All of the participants were friendly and bright. Overall, I would say that EPM is the perfect way to travel whether solo or in tandem.
