OVERVIEW

ACCOMODATION

We've thoughtfully designed your stay to give you the best of both worlds—beginning with the vibrant energy of Croatia's Adriatic coast before slowing into the timeless beauty of Montenegro's Bay of Kotor.

Our retreat begins at Hotel More, an elegant boutique hotel built into the cliffs of Dubrovnik's spectacular Lapad Peninsula. Wake each morning to sweeping views of the Adriatic, enjoy direct access to the crystal-clear sea, and unwind in beautifully appointed rooms designed with understated Mediterranean luxury. Between retreat sessions and our excursions, relax by the waterfront pool, indulge in the hotel's wellness facilities, or discover the famous Cave Bar More—an extraordinary natural cave transformed into one of Dubrovnik's most unique cocktail lounges.

Midweek we'll journey south into Montenegro, where we'll settle into the breathtaking Heritage Grand Perast, a beautifully restored 18th-century Venetian palace overlooking the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor. Perast feels like stepping into another era. With its cobbled streets, baroque churches, and mountain-framed bay, it offers an atmosphere of complete tranquillity—the perfect setting for the deeper, more restorative half of our retreat. Enjoy elegant rooms, waterfront breakfasts, a luxurious spa complete with indoor pool, hammam and sauna, and peaceful moments by the outdoor pool overlooking the bay. Whether you're wandering the charming streets of Perast, taking a boat to the iconic Our Lady of the Rocks island, or simply enjoying a quiet coffee by the water, this is a place that naturally invites presence and reflection.

Together, these two exceptional properties create a retreat that flows beautifully—from the vibrant coastline of Croatia to the serene waters of Montenegro—allowing you to experience two of the Adriatic's most captivating destinations in one unforgettable week.

ACTIVITIES

Throughout the week, we'll immerse ourselves in the beauty, history, and breathtaking landscapes of Croatia and Montenegro while creating unforgettable memories together. Our adventure begins in the iconic city of Dubrovnik, where we'll explore its enchanting Old Town on a guided walking tour, wandering through centuries-old streets, hidden alleyways, and historic landmarks overlooking the sparkling Adriatic Sea. We'll then experience the Croatian coastline from the water during a private boat day, cruising to a stunning beach locale with upscale club and lunch, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine.

As our journey continues, we'll cross into the neighboring country of Montenegro, where we'll visit the charming seaside village of Perast for a leisurely waterfront lunch before setting sail on a scenic boat cruise through the spectacular Bay of Kotor. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and picturesque coastal villages, this is one of Europe's most breathtaking landscapes. We'll also explore the medieval streets of Kotor, discovering its rich history, vibrant squares, and local charm. To end our incredible week together, we'll slow down and indulge in a luxurious spa experience overlooking the Adriatic—a chance to relax, reflect, and leave feeling completely refreshed, restored, and inspired after an unforgettable Eat Pray Move retreat.

CUISINE

Healthful, vegetarian food is part of the retreat experience, including breakfasts daily, as well as most dinners and lunches. Enjoy cuisine which combines creativity and flavors with special attention to creating balanced meals. Wholesome ingredients, freshness of the foods, traditional cooking methods and local ingredients are present in every meal you will enjoy. Meals will be enjoyed at the hotel or in carefully chosen restaurants around the area. We'll feast on traditional flavors of Croatia & Montenegro, mixed with Mediterranean styles as well. Plus, throughout the week we'll have a chance to sample many regional wines and other tastes such as cheeses and various other specialties. We will enjoy daily breakfast, various visits to gourmet restaurants, a cocktail aperitivo at a beautiful bar overlooking the city, plus a wonderful winery visit for a tour and tasting.

*In the yogic tradition, meals on our retreats are vegetarian. When the company was founded, we wanted to create consistency and integrity within our yogic lineage as well as finding the most consistent way in each location to leave a light footprint. We know not all our guests are vegetarian, but we ask that they be open and understanding of the principles that guide this choice for just the few days that we are together. That said, breakfast is an open menu with all diets being represented, so there are usually options of meat / fish. Plus, a couple of the provided meals at sea-based locations will have an option for seafood, and of course guests can choose whatever they prefer from menus when we are on our own for a few meals during the week. Special allergies can be addressed and noted.

GIVE BACK RETREAT

This retreat is part of our GIVE BACK initiative, where EPM will donate at least 10% of profits to a humanitarian partner in the community where each retreat is held. Our partner in Croatia is the CROATIAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND with the purpose of providing university scholarships for Croatian students who could not otherwise afford a higher education.

WELLNESS

Daily meditation and yoga classes will be offered in a way to relax, stimulate, and help guests grow in their own personal practice. Classes are open to all levels, beginner to practiced, and can range from gentle, restorative, and more vigorous vinyasa flow and ashtanga styles.* Style and class levels will be determined and moulded to fit participating students' needs, and with a small intimate retreat class size, students will be able to get personalized attention and comfortability to deeply explore their practice. This week we’ll enjoy classes in our private space in the palace’s main house, and if the weather is agreeable even some time in the beautiful scenic gardens.

MINDY JOHNSTONE

This retreat will be led by our beloved EPM Collaborator, Mindy Johnstone. Living in the ever inspiring Canadian Rockies, Mindy has a love of  the outdoors, travel, all things artistic and yoga related. Her home town of Banff is an International destination that brings in over 4 million visitors per year. In 2009, Mindy opened a successful yoga studio in Banff that she operated for 11yrs. She continues to teach wellness in the mountain parks and internationally. Having began her practice almost 30 years ago, Mindy's style of teaching is rooted in the Ashtanga tradition. A love for the fluidity is deepened with Vinyasa Flow and the more restorative Yin & iRest Yoga Nidra. On retreat prepare to be inspired and nurtured as her strength lies in the ability to cater to groups and individuals needs.  The yoga community offers a family in all parts of the globe and Mindy  is grateful for the guidance and shared wisdom she receives from  students and teachers. She looks forward to inspiring people to see the  delight in travel and where we can feel at 'OM with the world.'

When she's not traveling, you can find Mindy painting, teaching art, reading cards or embarking on outdoor adventures with her husband and daughter, Charly.

* Participation in classes and activities is optional throughout the retreat. All levels welcome!
